Of all the countries my wife and I have visited, Italy is my favourite. We've been there several times and this time it was the turn of Rome and Tuscany. What stood out? In Rome, the equestrian statue of Emperor Marcus Aurelius. In Pisa, the walks along Borgo Stretto and Via Santa Maria. In Florence, the Uffizi Gallery. In Siena, inevitably the cathedral inside and out. Not to be outdone, in the village of Monteverdi in the Tuscan Hills, a tiny food store selling boar meat and an incredible selection of local wines. Can't wait to go again! 0:00:00 What to expect 0:01:50 Rome: Colloseum and around 0:03:56 Rome: Capitoline Museums 0:06:29 Vatican: St.Peter's Basilica 0:16:20 Vatican: Museums including Sistine Chapel 0:21:07 Rome: Pantheon 0:23:32 Rome: Palatine Hill including Forum 0:31:20 Florence: a walking tour 0:39:30 Florence: inside the Uffizi Gallery 0:42:59 Florence: inside the Pitti Palace 0:45:08 Florence: Savoralona lived here! 0:47:07 Monteverdi: country living close to the sea 0:58:54 Bolgheri: village and vineyards 1:02:18 Lucca 1:08:37 Pisa 1:13:45 Castagneto Carducci 1:21:24 Siena 1:32:58 Back in Canada: so was it worth it?
